You Will Find That Your Smile Looks Brighter and Feels More Full When Having Veneers Placed.
What Are Veneers?
Veneers are incredibly thin shells, often made out of porcelain, that are attached to just the front of your teeth. Veneers are ideal for patients who aren’t satisfied with their smile or who want to transform the way that they look without surgery or expensive procedure. Despite being thin, your new veneers can last for upwards of a decade before they’re able to be replaced. When veneers are being placed, little to absolutely no local anesthesia is required.
Why Are Veneers Necessary?
Most of our patients choose to have veneers placed because they’re unhappy with the way that their teeth look. Your teeth might be discolored or stained. You might have tried whitening in the past but were unhappy with the results. Veneers can hide gaps, spaces and uneven teeth without the need for any other procedures or treatments.
What Makes You a Candidate for Veneers?
If you would like veneers, you’ll first come in for a consultation with Dr. Nicolette. We’ll examine your teeth to decipher if veneers are right for you and how to go about placing them over the teeth. The procedure is pretty simple and straightforward, making it ideal for most patients visiting our practice. Veneers are great for individuals who want a long-lasting cosmetic option that doesn’t require surgery or hours in a dental chair.
What Should You Expect With the Veneer Procedure?
In order for the porcelain veneers to fit properly on the front of your teeth, the teeth will be buffed and filed slightly. Impressions are made of the teeth so that you can have custom veneers created just for you. The veneers are then carefully placed over the front teeth and adhered in placed. Slight adjustments can be made by Dr. Nicolette if they veneers feel long or uncomfortable. You will find that your smile looks brighter and feels more full when having veneers placed. You can care for your new veneers as you would any of your other teeth.
